Overview
A Data Operations Analyst is critical in managing and optimizing data processes to support seamless access, analysis, and decision-making across an organization. This role bridges the gap between technical data teams and business operations by designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient controls of data processing systems. Key responsibilities include data trend collection, quality control, reporting, and collaborating with internal development teams to identify and resolve data-related issues, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Cleaning and Transformation:
- Identifying and resolving data quality issues like duplicates, missing values, and inconsistencies.
- Data Quality Monitoring:
- Establishing and maintaining data quality metrics, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions.
- Data Pipeline Management:
- Managing existing data pipelines to collect data from data ingestion, processing, and distribution across different systems.
- Performance Analysis:
- Analyzing operational processes to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- System Administration:
- Maintaining and troubleshooting data and reporting systems, including simple data and reporting tools administrative tasks.
- BAU Ownership
- Manage and process existing BAU automated processes. Act as first-level incident support analysts in case of failure and maintenance of Ops Manual for ease of issue resolution.
Qualifications
- Graduate of any IT or Computer related course preferably Engineering, Business Intelligence, Computer Science or Statistics related
- 3 to 5 years experience
Required Skills
Understanding of basic SQL, Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify patterns and trends in data.
Understanding of business operations and key performance indicators (KPIs) to effectively translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
Ability to clearly communicate complex data findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Effectively working with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement data solutions.
