Summary

***Clarification on SMP Contract: It is Supplementary Manpower service contract job in which prospective applicants are interviewed and salary determined by NEOM interview panel; and being employed under the payroll of SMP Contract (SMP Vendor). Successfully mobilized candidates would be under the visa sponsorship of SMP Vendor Company/Contract.


ROLE OVERVIEW

The role in NEOM Operations department as a Data Management Specialist will be responsible for setting up business glossaries, metadata repositories, workflows, master and reference datasets, retention cycles, collecting, analyzing and visualizing current system data for actionable insights within NEOM Operations, the main responsibilities of this position to analyze data, produce reports, conduct ETL and ensure that NEOM Operations data management platform is continuously improved in collaboration with various teams.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify and gather data from diverse sources: internal systems, external databases, web applications, etc.
  • Design and implement scalable and efficient data storage solutions using snowflake, write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries within the snowflake environment.
  • Integrate snowflake with various data sources and third-party tools.
  • Create, test, and implement enterprise-level apps with snowflake
  • Clean and transform data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance for analysis.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines for automated data flow and integration.
  • Identify key trends, patterns, and correlations within the data.
  • Build predictive models and analytical tools to forecast future trends.
  • Maintain strong coding and scripting skills in relevant programming languages (Python, R, DAX, SQL , Python).
  • Working with the team to setup and update NEOM operation’s IT strategy & roadmap.
  • Apply definition of, and compile business roles for data types, sources & purpose. Ensure the documentation of all roles for retention schedules, privacy levels, security requirements, and other controls.
  • Offer guidance and training in the use of metadata, update metadata in the repository and publish updates.
  • Ensures master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality.
  • Identifies areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.
  • Ensures quality of master data in key systems, as well as, development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.
  • Work with suppliers on projects and report on supplier performance, as required.
  • Support NEOM ops in identifying data quality issues, their root causes and remediation strategies.
  • Support definition of data quality rules and thresholds, implementing data quality checks, remediation, root cause analysis and knowledge of a data quality tool.
  • Support NEOM Ops in data management tasks such as setting up business glossaries, metadata repositories, workflows, master and reference datasets, retention cycles, etc.


EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 + years relevant work experience in data quality management, information architecture and governance design and implementation, with significant influence on overall direction of data governance management
  • Understanding of Master Data Management technology landscape, processes and design principles.
  • Strong and proven Experience in data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI.
  • Strong and proven experience in ETL Tools and data warehouse, such as Azure data factory, Snowflake.
  • Operational familiarity in the use of meta-data management, data quality, and data stewardship tools and platforms
  • Experience in Snowflake modelling – roles, databases, schemas.
  • Data lakes, multi-dimensional models, data dictionaries.
  • Proven track record in operating large data governance programs. Knowledge of Cloud based big data frameworks such as data lake, relational, Graph and other noSQL databases
  • Experience in managing enterprise data assets in a large, complex organization
  • Strong demonstrable CAFM system knowledge & SAP.
  • Good written and verbal communication


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant domain such as Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Informatics or related technical field
  • However, work experience will be of equal, if not greater, importance
