About the opportunity

The Group Data Office is part of our Technology & Transformation Division. The Group Data Office sets the frameworks and standards and drives best practice capability uplift across the organisation in relation to data management, data governance, the data modernisation roadmap, and deriving value from data through analytics and insight.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data governance solutions using the Collibra Data Governance and Experian Data Quality platforms. Ensuring enterprise Data Governance tools are fit for business purposes and managed to maximise usage for business and technical users.

Enterprise Data Governance tools are essential to the management of data, and data integrity, and sharing of data assets at scale. You will play a key role in the administration, support, and change management of Data Governance systems, driving appropriate configuration of the system to align to the business usage and future state data strategy roadmap.

In this role you’ll get to…

  • Maintain currency of skills and continuous improvement of knowledge of systems through attendance of vendor training sessions and self-learning via available resources.
  • Stay up-to-date on new Collibra features and best practices through continuous learning and participation in the Collibra community.
  • Design, develop, and implement Collibra data catalogue solutions, including metadata models, business rules, workflows and views.
  • Develop custom scripts and applications to automate data management tasks within Collibra and Experian.
  • Focus on customers’ needs to drive behaviours and outcomes.
  • Work through a task, initiative, or project to ensure completion and to achieve successful outcomes.


What you’ll bring to the role

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Experience designing, configuring and developing Data Governance tools such as Collibra Data Intelligence Platform or Experian Data Quality Products.
  • Experience as a system administrator, system specialist or Data Governance consultant.
  • Demonstrated understanding of data management practices including data profiling and management of data quality, business and technical metadata, data cataloguing and business glossary development.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), version control systems, testing methodologies, and best practices for application delivery and change.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills, with demonstrated experience engaging business and technology stakeholders.
