We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Governance Program Manager to join our team and lead our data governance initiatives in our Worcester, MA location. Position is eligible for Hybrid/Flex work arrangement.

This is a full time, exempt role.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Data Governance Program Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the data governance framework across the organization. This role will ensure that data is managed as a strategic asset, promoting data quality, integrity, and security.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, governance, and compliance, with excellent leadership and communication skills.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Lead the data governance committee and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Support the evolution of our Data Model Governance and execution.
  • Identify and mitigate data-related risks.
  • Provide training and support to data owners and users.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of data governance initiatives.
  • Support the organization in the development of our AI governance.
  • Execute data governance in a manner that drives the business forward.

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related role.
  • MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE US WITHOUT REQUIRING SPONSORSHIP NOW OR IN THE FUTURE (MUST BE A US CITIZEN OR GREENCARD HOLDER)
  • Experience in insurance or a regulated sector.
  • Some experience and knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, practices, and tools.
  • Experience with data privacy regulations and industry standards.
  • Hands-on AI experience (building or auditing statistical models, experience with machine learning, etc.)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Certification in data governance or related areas is a plus.
