Our client, a major financial services company, is seeking a Data and AI Risk Governance Senior for their Investments & Capital Markets division. This role is crucial in supporting enterprise risk programs focused on Model Data and AI and is based in McLean, VA.
Position Overview: The Data and AI Risk Governance Senior will be instrumental in driving data governance and compliance initiatives, as well as ensuring the safe and effective use of AI technologies within the firm. This position involves significant cross-team collaboration to develop risk management strategies.
Your Impact:
- Information and Technology Risk Management: Oversee the division’s information risk, developing and implementing management strategies.
- Data Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce data governance and model standards, ensuring compliance with enterprise requirements.
- Data Quality Management: Lead efforts to enhance data quality, manage effective data controls, and protect sensitive information.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across various teams to refine data management practices and ensure a thorough understanding of data lineage and dependencies across divisions.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies within the data ecosystem, standardizing data storage and documentation.
- Critical Data Management: Manage workflows for critical model data within I&CM.
- Reporting and Metrics: Generate and manage reports detailing information risk and governance performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years in data governance within the financial services sector.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education.
- At least 3 years in operational risk management with a focus on technology, information, or model risk.
- Proficient in business process mapping, metadata management, and data lineage.
- Experience with Collibra.
- Extensive knowledge of industry standards in information risk management.
- Exceptional communication and collaborative skills.
