As an experienced Data Governance Analyst at NCS, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to help diverse organisations across Australia establish and significantly elevate their data governance capabilities. This is a dynamic, client-facing role where you'll partner directly with businesses at various stages of data maturity. Your core objective will be to guide them in implementing and operationalising robust data governance frameworks, ensuring these are meticulously aligned with their unique commercial needs and strategic ambitions, ultimately empowering them to leverage data as a key asset.
Your responsibilities will be shaped by your experience, offering a clear path for impact and growth. You might be instrumental in supporting the successful rollout of key governance initiatives, or you could find yourself leading end-to-end streams of work – from defining critical data standards and designing clear roles, to delivering effective, sustainable operational frameworks. In this pivotal position, you'll define comprehensive Data Governance Frameworks and Policies, drawing on respected principles like DAMA and DMBOK. Your activities will span conducting capability assessments, designing impactful stakeholder engagement strategies, driving business change for better governance adoption, providing operational support for leading data catalog tools (like Alation, Microsoft Purview, Ataccama), and integrating these seamlessly with modern data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.
