Days, M-F

Remote: Location: Remote/work from home with strong preference for candidates residing within the UPH geographies of Iowa, Illinois, & Wisconsin.

The Data Governance Analyst II is responsible for UnityPoint Health’s data governance and integrity processes, drives data management objectives to ensure consistency, uniformity, and accuracy of master and reference data used for reporting and analytics across UnityPoint Health. Supports the data management needs of UnityPoint Health across all aspects for the supply chain and other support services areas with a primary focus on the management of master data within the Supply Chain Information System.

Responsibilities

Master Data

  • Receives, researches, validates, normalizes, uploads, inputs and edits requests for additions, changes and inactivation’s to key master data files following guidelines for standardization and normalization. Includes, suppliers and contract master data.
  • Researches, analyzes, designs, and maintains Supply Chain master data within the ERP System.
  • Audits Master Data for cleansing and training assistance needed to keep master data clean.
  • Functions as UnityPoint Health’s subject matter expert (SME) and super user for Supply Chain contract master data.
  • Responsible for management of master data templates and updates in Lawson utilizing research on GHX, GPO and vendor websites.
  • Develops partnerships with distribution team members to ensure accurate pricing information is contained in the ERP system and the distributor’s system by running reports and synchronizing data sets.
  • Collaborate across departments to understand master data needs of the organization in relation to Supply Chain Contract Master Data.
  • Performs data analysis; reviewing and analyzing data to ensure data integrity, standardization, normalization, and conformity of the single source of truth.
  • Facilitates the creation and uploads of data for contracts and service agreements in the ERP system.
  • Works closely with Data Analytics to manage rebate information and general reporting.
  • Manages expiring data to prevent order errors, price discrepancies, and any other barriers to order processing.
  • Facilitates the upload of price changes, contract amendments and addendums, and other data additions, modifications, or deletions using electronic and manual data manipulation processes.

Process Improvement/System Upgrades

  • Identifies areas of continued process improvement for Master data, supply chain and other service solutions.
  • Plays integral role in testing, implementing, and reviewing system upgrades or patches; collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix; maintains system tables, documents processes and results.
  • Provides input on the departmental plans, goals, standards, procedures, and instructions, which contribute to the effectiveness of the department in accordance with organizational goals.
  • Participates in the planning and monitoring of quality improvement activities within the department.

Operations

  • Manages cost messages and updates PO’s on GHX exceptions.
  • Collaborates with contract managers and vendors to identify and resolve pricing discrepancies to ensure vendors honor contract pricing and coordinate vendor credits where appropriate.
  • Participates in Expiring Contract Meetings to work through all contract extensions, closings, and uploads.
  • Manages contract lines for all of UnityPoint Health including additions, changes, and deletions of items in collaboration with contract management team, and vendors on each expiration or renegotiation.
  • Write, maintain, and support a variety of queries utilizing appropriate tools, assist in development of standard queries for ongoing customer needs; help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

  • Experience in excess of four (4) years may be substituted for education.

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.
  • Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Work occasionally requires travel to other UnityPoint Health facilities
