Salary: $20.90 to $24.20 hourly

Description

We are looking for a meticulous Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Orange, California. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and quality of critical documents while supporting the smooth flow of operations. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a focused and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Review executed closing documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Verify whether funds are due from consumers and confirm receipt as per lender specifications, notifying relevant personnel if discrepancies arise.
• Ensure that scanned documents are legible, properly attached to files, and made accessible via the system.
• Check compliance with lender specifications, as well as state and county requirements.
• Examine title commitments to confirm that all title-related conditions have been satisfied.
• Document detailed notes on file reviews, indicating whether they passed or failed, and create tasks for necessary corrections.
• Manage trailing mail and corrections by attaching them to appropriate orders and submitting them to lenders as required.
• Approve shipping of document packages to lenders after thorough review.
• Escalate problematic files for further audit and resolution.
• Assist in maintaining the settlement review group inbox and provide support for other assigned tasks.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as general email correspondence.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Competence in data entry, scanning, and organizing files with high accuracy.
• Familiarity with performing calculations and typing efficiently.
• Willingness to work onsite five days a week with consistent and punctual attendance.
