Job Purpose/ Summary*

As an ETL Data Engineer, you will be a part of our dynamic Information Technology team. Your primary role will be to design, develop, and manage ETL pipelines, optimize data workflows, and ensure high data quality.

Job Description*

As a Senior General Manager in the IT Data department, the Data Engineer will be responsible for managing and organizing data. The candidate will play a pivotal role in the company's data infrastructure development and will be responsible for optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up. The Data Engineer will also be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining architectures such as databases and large-scale processing systems.

Principal Accountabilities*

• Develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures such as databases and large-scale processing systems.
• Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
• Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts.
• Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data.
• Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining, and production.
• Employ a variety of languages and tools to marry systems together.
• Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
• Collaborate with data architects, modelers, and IT team members on project goals.
• Implement up-to-date solutions for all areas of data architecture, including data ingestion, data processing, real-time and batch data processing.
• Work closely with all business units and engineering teams to develop strategy for long term data platform architecture.
• The candidate will also be expected to demonstrate strong leadership skills, with a focus on collaboration, change management, and critical thinking. They should also have a strong business and commercial acumen, a global mindset, and a knack for entrepreneurship and people excellence.
