Pay Rate Range: $70,000 - $140,000 hour/year

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to play a key role in building, optimizing, and managing data pipelines in a cloud-based environment. This position requires expertise in Snowflake, Matillion, SQL, and Power BI, with a strong understanding of ETL or ELT processes and data transformation. Candidates with oil and gas industry experience are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Matillion and Snowflake.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources to support analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Optimize SQL queries and database performance for efficient data processing.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, accuracy, and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver insights.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in a cloud environment.

Required Skills & Technologies

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering
  • Snowflake (cloud data warehousing)
  • Matillion (data integration and transformation)
  • SQL (query optimization, database management)
  • Power BI (data visualization and reporting)
  • Experience with ETL or ELT tools and processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oil and gas industry experience
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Knowledge of data governance and security best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize data workflows
