Senior Data Engineer

Our client is a well-established renewable energy company in New York. As a key contributor, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure that support our analytics and operational systems.

Senior Data Engineer responsibilities:

• Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL
• Integrate data from a wide range of sources including internal systems and third-party APIs
• Manage and optimize data storage solutions to support analytics and machine learning use cases
• Monitor data quality and implement systems for data validation, cleaning, and integrity
• Support and enhance existing data infrastructure and contribute to new architecture development

Senior Data Engineer experience:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related role
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL and Excel
• Solid experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect, dbt)
• Hands-on experience integrating with RESTful APIs and external data services
• Familiarity with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid 3-4 days)

Salary Range: $150,000 – $180,000 Base Salary
