We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in designing, building, and maintaining robust data architectures that empower our international clients with scalable and efficient data solutions. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and contributing to impactful projects in an agile environment.

What you will be working on at Nile

• Collaborate with the engineering team to build and maintain data pipelines between HubSpot and other platforms.
• Extract, clean, and transform data from HubSpot and various systems for reporting or integration into data warehouses/BI tools.
• Support custom integrations and automations to streamline client operations or internal workflows.
• Monitor and improve data quality, ensuring clean, accurate, and structured data across systems.
• Implement AI driven strategies for our customers and for Nile

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Architecture & Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using technologies like Apache Spark, Azure Synapse, or Snowflake.
• Build and optimize data models for operational and analytical use.
• Implement best practices for data storage, transformation, and security.
• Ensure data integrity and quality across multiple data sources.

2. ETL/ELT Development & Automation

• Develop efficient ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources (databases, APIs, flat files, cloud platforms).
• Automate data workflows using orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
• Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to make data accessible and actionable.

3. AI & Advanced Analytics Integration

• Work closely with stakeholders to develop and deploy AI-driven models and machine learning pipelines.
• Optimize data architectures for AI applications, including feature engineering and real-time analytics.
• Support the implementation of predictive analytics, recommendation systems, and automation tools leveraging AI.

4. Data Governance & Security

• Implement data governance policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards (GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Manage access control and security measures for data platforms.
• Develop monitoring and alerting solutions for data reliability.

5. Cloud & DevOps Integration

• Deploy and manage data infrastructure in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Utilize CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing of data solutions.
• Ensure system resilience and performance through best DevOps practices.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and distributed computing frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data solutions (Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery, Snowflake).
• Expertise in ETL/ELT development and data pipeline orchestration.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies for data engineering.
• Experience with data warehousing and database optimization.
• Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, with experience in integrating AI models into data pipelines.
