Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the seamless movement and transformation of data across systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data pipelines, cloud platforms, and testing methodologies, with hands-on experience in Databricks and Azure Data Factory.

You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data as it moves from source systems to the Azure Data Lake, enabling accurate and timely business reporting. The candidate must be highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Migrate and transform data from diverse source systems into Azure Data Lake for business analytics and reporting.
• Apply unit testing and system testing best practices to ensure completeness and reliability of ingested data (files/transactions).
• Develop solutions that ensure scalability, performance, and data quality across all stages of the pipeline.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, resolve issues, and implement improvements.
• Work within an Agile team to deliver sprint goals and continuously improve data workflows.

Must-Have Skills and Qualifications:

1. 3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks (PySpark/SQL).
2. 3+ years of experience with Azure Data Factory – building and managing complex data workflows.
3. 5+ years of strong experience with SQL.
4. Excellent verbal communication skills – ability to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
5. Solid understanding and experience working within Agile development processes.
