We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize our data pipelines and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Azure data services, SQL databases, DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation, and Power BI for visualization. This role will work closely with stakeholders to ensure high-quality data availability and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, DBT, and SQL.
• Build and optimize data models in SQL-based databases for reporting and analytics.
• Work with Azure Data Services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Functions to manage and process large datasets.
• Implement data transformation workflows using DBT for efficient modelling and performance optimization.
• Develop and maintain Power BI datasets and reports, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with data analysts, business intelligence teams, and stakeholders to define data requirements and optimize data architecture.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices across data pipelines and reporting layers.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, queries, and cloud resource utilization to ensure efficient operations.
• Automate and improve CI/CD processes for data pipelines and infrastructure.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent) for data transformation and modelling.
• Experience working with Azure Data Services (Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Data Factory, Data Lake, Functions).
• Hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for transformation and data modelling.
• Experience developing and optimizing Power BI reports, datasets, and DAX calculations.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and dimensional modelling.
• Experience with performance tuning in SQL and Power BI datasets.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure using GitHub/Azure Dev Ops.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment.

• Experience with Python for data processing and automation.
• Familiarity with Terra-form or Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for Azure resources.
• Experience with streaming data architectures (Kafka, Event Hubs, etc.) is nice to have.
• Certifications in Azure Data Engineering or related technologies.
