Job Title: Data Engineer

Department: Engineering

Working Arrangement: On-site


Information about the role:

Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end architecture and operations of our data engineering function.


Key Responsibility

  • Data Infrastructure Design and Management: Design, implementation, and management of scalable and efficient data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.
  • Data Integration: Oversee the integration of data from various sources, ensuring data is accessible, clean, and usable for analytics and decision-making.
  • Data Modeling: Design and maintain optimized data models that support reporting, analytics, and machine learning initiatives.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and improve the performance of data processing systems to ensure low latency and high throughput.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and deliver solutions that enable effective data-driven decision-making.
  • Data Governance: Implement and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Innovation: Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and bring innovative ideas to improve our data systems.


Requirement

  • At least 4+ years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale data pipelines and data lakes.
  • Experience leading or mentoring a team of data engineers is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Expertise in data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Apache Flink, or similar.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
  • Solid understanding of data lake architectures, including the design and management of data lakes using technologies such as AWS Lake Formation, Azure Data Lake, or Google Cloud Storage.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and databases like SQL, NoSQL, and columnar storage systems.
  • Familiarity with data modeling techniques and tools like DBT, ER/Studio, or similar.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Apache NiFi, Talend, or custom-built pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
