Summary

We are seeking a Data Engineer to support machine learning operations and scalable data infrastructure initiatives for a growing internal enablement and learning team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in SQL, Python, database design, and performance tuning—someone passionate about building and optimizing cloud-based data systems that power dashboards, AI products, and analytics models.

This is a hands-on, high-impact opportunity to contribute to a collaborative team focused on building tools and content delivery systems that support employee development across logistics operations. You will work closely with science and analytics partners to design data lakes, manage secure infrastructure, and enable insights through structured and unstructured data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, optimize, and manage both structured and unstructured databases to support dashboards, ML models, and training content delivery.
  • Model data injection and transformation layers to ensure performance and scalability across learning systems.
  • Clean and structure raw datasets for use in AI products and analytics tools.
  • Manage AWS accounts, access controls, and resource configurations to ensure secure, scalable access to infrastructure.
  • Support science and analytics teams by building pipelines that enable high-integrity analysis of workforce behavior and learning program efficacy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions that meet operational and content management goals.
  • Provide fleet management, permissions oversight, and performance monitoring across cloud-native environments.

Top Required Skills

  • SQL/Python Development – Strong experience building data pipelines, querying large datasets, and transforming data using scripting languages.
  • Database Optimization & Design – Skilled in modeling performance-efficient data structures and tuning systems for large-scale use.
  • AWS & Cloud Infrastructure – Familiarity with services such as Redshift, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, and NoSQL technologies.

Skills & Experience Required

  • 7–8+ years of experience in data engineering or database development (or 5+ years with a Master’s in a related technical field).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with cloud-native tools (Redshift, MySQL, Oracle, NoSQL, DynamoDB, AWS stack).
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
  • Strong understanding of content management support and data modeling for downstream analytics.

Why This Role?

This is a hands-on opportunity to build impactful, scalable data solutions that support the professional development of a wide-reaching workforce. You'll help shape the foundation of a learning and AI enablement program while applying and growing your technical skills across AWS and modern data stacks. The team offers a collaborative, growth-oriented environment where technical innovation directly benefits thousands of employees.
