Qualifications

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 4–6 years of hands-on data engineering experience, including designing and maintaining data pipelines in a production environment.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in Python and SQL with experience using data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Dagster, Airflow, etc.).
    • Demonstrable experience with AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue) and Snowflake.
    • Familiarity with dbt for data transformations and modeling.
    • Understanding of ETL/ELT best practices and data warehousing concepts.
    • Experience using source control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Soft Skills & Leadership
    • Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
    • Experience mentoring junior engineers or contributing to team knowledge sharing.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
