About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and systems that power data insights and analytics across the organization. Responsibilities:

Data Engineering & Management

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure
• Ensure data systems are optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability
• Integrate new data technologies and tools to enhance infrastructure

ETL & Automation

• Build and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources
• Automate repetitive data workflows and improve data delivery processes
• Support data mapping, cleansing, and transformation efforts

Database & Spreadsheet Optimization

• Manage and optimize MySQL databases and schemas
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and security
• Use advanced Excel techniques (macros, pivot tables, formulas) for analysis and reporting

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers
• Provide data tools and technical support to internal teams
• Document systems, workflows, and data processes for transparency and training

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Database Administrator, or similar role
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with MySQL or similar relational databases
• Expertise in ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing
• Proficiency in Excel (macros, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, advanced formulas)
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Perl, or similar languages
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in collaborative environments
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
