About the role:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer for our data engineering team. This role will be responsible for the development and implementation of data solutions and pipelines on AWS to support data driven initiatives of the organization. The ideal candidate will be a team player with deep understanding of modern data systems and tools, particularly within AWS cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Data Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines
for ingesting, processing, and transforming large volumes of structured and unstructured
data. Develop robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from
diverse sources into our data ecosystem. Implement data validation and quality checks to
ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Data Integration: Build and maintain integrations with internal and external data sources
and APIs. Implement RESTful APIs and web services for data access and consumption.
Ensure compatibility and interoperability between different systems and platforms.
• Cloud Data Infrastructure: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and
implement optimizations to enhance reliability and efficiency. Help implement data
security controls and access management policies to protect sensitive information.
• Data Quality & Governance: Implement and enforce data quality standards and
governance practices. Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all systems and
processes, with a focus on AWS security best practices.
• Innovation & Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and
technological advancements within the AWS ecosystem. Stay current with industry trends
and emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other
engineering teams to ensure seamless data integration and support analytical initiatives.
Document technical designs, workflows, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing
and maintain system documentation. Provide technical guidance and support to team
members and stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related
field. Master’s degree or advanced certifications are a plus.
