You'll be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the systems and processes that enable the seamless flow of data from diverse sources into a central, usable environment.

In this exciting role, you will

  • Assist in building and improving our data systems in the cloud (mostly AWS).
  • Help look after our data storage places, like data warehouses and data lakes, so we can keep lots of different kinds of data organized.
  • Make sure our data experts have the data, tools, and places they need to do their roles.
  • Help set up who can see and use different data tools (like Tableau, Redshift, Athena).
  • Find ways to make data tasks easier and faster by using automation, and help make our data systems run smoothly and cost-effectively.
  • Help make sure we handle data properly and keep it safe, following best practices
  • Work with the RACQ tech team on new projects and when we release updates.

What We're Looking For

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a Data Engineer role.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following SQL, Python, and Tableau.
  • Understanding of AWS environments and services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Good software development skills and a good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret requirements, solve problems, and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
