Data Engineer - FTC until 31/12/2025

As a key member of the Data Management team the position is responsible for the creation, control & advancement of master data in order to meet the demands of internal customers globally.

Ensure all data management requests are completed in-line with established service level agreements (SLAs). Make certain all departments, and intercompany facilities are fully satisfied with the service levels provided. Standard working practices should be fully adopted and continuously developed, while adhering to formalized data management processes. A pro-active approach should always be maintained and the ability to identify possible Master Data issues and rectify them is expected, both on a record by record basis and on a wider scope.

This is a critical role within a complex, cross-functional programme to implement Microsoft D365 across our Global operation. Responsibilities will include assisting in performing data migrations, automating data enrichment tasks, troubleshooting, and debugging system issues, and enhancing system performance in relation to data migration activities.

They are also tasked with extracting, transforming, and loading data to meet regional implementation data needs and ensure a successful go live. Ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency is a crucial part of the role, as is automating ETL workflows to save time and reduce errors. Support Data Analysts and carry out Data Analysis tasks as part of data preparation prior to loading and validation post load.

This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver an ERP rollout, aiming to ensure globally aligned and efficient processes to enhance customer satisfaction. As required, the role will also be involved in the training & support of other individuals/teams around the business.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Demonstrate excellent data analysis & presentation skills, and solid communication of both written & verbal information with attention to detail maintained throughout
• Good understanding of ERP systems (preferably BPCS and/or D365)
• Master data management & improvement, which maintained a customer service focus, within both an international and multi-site environment
• Knowledge of business reporting systems desirable; Cognos, data warehouse (DW) with ability to analyse/manipulate through use of Excel/Access
• Communication and interpersonal skills to successfully work with, influence & engage colleagues of varied nationalities and at all levels of the business
• Good level SQL with a desire to further progress knowledge
• Proactive and able to effectively problem solve
• Excellent reasoning and analytical ability
• Highly organized individual who can manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and manage several projects simultaneously
• Present an extremely ethical attitude & approach at all times, and work effectively within culturally diverse teams
• Ability to represent the Company in a professional & appropriate manner in all situations. SQL experience (reading data / writing queries) desired
• Alteryx experience desired
