We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic Advanced Analytics team. As a pivotal member within the organization, the Data Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing data storage and models that are crucial for developing business-specific use cases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cloud-based machine learning initiatives and support technical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with data scientists, effectively communicating complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses on stored data, troubleshoot issues, and present solutions
- Proactively evaluate databases for optimization and recommend improvements, providing progress reports
- Analyze complex data elements and systems to contribute to data model development
- Stay informed about industry trends and seek opportunities for skill development through ongoing learning
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Skilled in SQL, data management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server), and ETL
- Understanding of data science, machine learning, and cloud infrastructures (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Strong Python skills, particularly with Jupyter Notebooks and Spark experience
- Proficient in creating engaging reports and presentations using MS Office
- Excellent collaboration, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to build relationships and inspire stakeholder trust
- Fluent in English // German is a plus
