Job Title: Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 2

Location: Onsite – Aldie, VA

Pay Range: $20/hr. - $24/hr.

Duration: 6 months – 18 Months

The Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 2 will support the logistics and operational activities of a high-volume data center. This role is critical in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting incoming/outgoing shipments, executing device destruction protocols, and ensuring all compliance requirements are met. Candidates must be capable of working independently, handling time-sensitive tasks, and escalating issues as needed.

  • Data Center Logistics & Inventory Management:


Proven experience with physical inventory tracking, staging, and material movement, including shipping/receiving and data-bearing device (DBD) destruction per standardized procedures.

  • Technical Proficiency in Data Center Environments:


Hands-on experience working in a data center environment, with the ability to operate basic software tools, monitor systems for performance issues, and assist with error resolution and equipment failure diagnostics.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office & SOP Adherence:


Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word), and the ability to follow documented standard operating procedures (SOPs) and compliance requirements in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, prepare, and execute incoming/outgoing deliveries (e.g., PO receiving, RMS activities)
  • Perform material movement activities including shipping, receiving, and inventory management per established procedures
  • Conduct physical inventory tracking, staging, and cycle audits with attention to detail
  • Destroy data bearing devices (DBDs) following documented procedures and compliance standards
  • Assist with various Data Center regulatory compliance or certification control audits
  • Monitor software systems to identify equipment failures or performance issues
  • Respond to error messages and help debug software with programmers and system analysts
  • Operate spreadsheet programs and related software to load/manipulate data and generate reports


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma AND 2+ years of experience in warehouse/supply chain logistics within an IT, inventory management, retail, or warehouse management environment
  • Prior experience in a data center environment
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Basic ability to work independently with minimal supervision


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in computer Programming or equivalent training
  • Experience supporting or managing teams of 5–10 supplier resources (if applicable)
