The Data Center Technician is essential for maintenance, management, and operation of a data center facility. They are responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of data center infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and cooling systems.
What You'll Do
Perform routine maintenance and inspections of data center hardware, including servers, storage devices, and networking equipmentTroubleshoot and diagnose hardware issues, coordinating with vendors for repairs or replacements as neededInstall, configure, and maintain server hardware and softwareMonitor server performance and take proactive measures to optimize performance and prevent downtimeManage and configure network switches, routers, and firewallsMonitor network traffic and address connectivity issues promptlyImplement and enforce security protocols to safeguard data center assets and prevent unauthorized accessMonitor power distribution and backup systems (UPS) to ensure uninterrupted operationMaintain detailed records of equipment inventory, maintenance activities, and system configurationsFollow disaster recovery plans to minimize data center downtime

Engineering Tech I - $20.74 - $31.11/hourEngineering Tech II - $24.48 - $36.72/hourEngineering Tech III - $28.56 - $42.84/hour
