Position Overview

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive management direction to multiple construction projects and campuses. You'll oversee plans, budgets, schedules, and project controls while maintaining close contact with clients and tenants. This role requires monitoring construction and financial activities to ensure successful project completion and may include serving as the on-site manager for large, complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Client Relations

• Initiate and maintain liaison with owners, tenants, owner's PM firm, and other stakeholders
• Provide guidance and oversight to owner's PM firm, junior Project Managers, and staff
• Work with general contractors and trade contractors to plan, organize, and direct construction activities
• Represent the company in project meetings and strategy sessions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the contractor and subcontractor community

Financial & Contract Management

• Lead and assist with estimating and budgeting potential projects
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company interests while maintaining positive client relationships
• Procure necessary supplies and materials to complete projects
• Review and submit project change orders to clients within one week of request

Project Control & Execution

• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards
• Ensure project quality control plans are implemented and followed
• Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures
• Monitor project progress through updated schedules
• Assist general contractors in resolving scope issues with subcontractors
• Ensure job processes comply with company policies
• Complete and distribute meeting minutes within 72 hours of progress meetings
• Prepare and submit O&M manuals to clients within 30 days of substantial completion
• Review and ensure safety plans are in place and properly administered

Qualifications

• BS/BA in construction management or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 10-15 years of construction management experience
• Experience in data center or mission-critical facility construction preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6
• Self-motivated with strong time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Exceptional follow-up skills, both internally and externally
