Strategic Planning: Develop and implement program-level strategies for the successful planning and execution of data center projects, aligning with the organization’s growth and technology roadmaps.
Program Management: Oversee the lifecycle of data center projects, from initiation to closure, ensuring milestones are met, risks are managed, and all project deliverables meet quality standards.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the program's financials, ensuring adherence to the budget while identifying opportunities for cost-saving measures without compromising on quality.
Vendor and Contractor Coordination: Manage relationships with key vendors and contractors, including contract negotiation, performance evaluation, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks at the program level, proactively resolving issues related to project timelines, budgets, and scope changes.
Team Leadership: Lead a team of project managers and technical professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes professional development.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with senior leadership and other internal stakeholders, providing updates on project statuses and ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
Compliance and Regulatory Standards: Ensure all data center projects comply with local and international regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols, staying updated on changes and implementing them as needed.
Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce strict quality control measures throughout the program to ensure that the data centers meet organizational and client expectations.
Qualifications And Skills
A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, information technology, or a related field is required. A master's degree in management or engineering is an advantage.
10+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on data center or mission-critical facilities.
Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and network systems.
Proficiency in program management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards related to data centers.
Certification in Program Management (PgMP, PMP) or equivalent is a plus.
