The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Technician to join our team. This role involves conducting facility and equipment inspections, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting operational functions within the facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in HVAC troubleshooting, electrical maintenance, and facility operations, specifically with backup power systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily walkthroughs of the facility inspecting buildings, grounds & equipment.
  • Document findings and report any issues or required maintenance.
  • Responsible for 100% critical systems uptime within facility
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including HVAC, compressors, and other facility components.
  • Troubleshoot 480/3-phase power systems and breaker issues (excluding residential and high-voltage work).
  • Monitor Building Management System (BMS) alarms and respond accordingly.
  • Alarm response & Preventive Maintenance: High Temperature, UPS, PRCUs, PDUs, power spines, Pump Skid, Switchgear, and fluid coolers (CRAC/CRAH).
  • Clean and maintain AHU controls and sensors.
  • Inspect generator fluid levels, oil, and fuel.
  • Check for leaks and ensure operational readiness.
  • Coordinate schedules and zone access protocols with employees.
  • Support operational needs within designated facility zones.
  • Work with vendors and contractors to ensure their work meets industry standards.


Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent with Technical Trade School related to Mechanical or Electrical.
  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • NFPA-70E (Arc Flash) Certification Preferred
  • Strong HVAC troubleshooting experience in commercial or industrial environment (installation experience not required).
  • HVAC license not required.
  • Strong electrical maintenance experience, including knowledge of 480/3-phase power systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting breakers (excluding residential and high-voltage electricians).
  • Hands-on experience with backup power systems in production or casino environments.
