Role Overview:
As the DC Operations Manager, you will be the linchpin of our high-frequency trading operations, ensuring optimal performance of our production clusters. Your role is crucial in managing on-site operations, optimizing infrastructure, and driving innovation in our state-of-the-art trading environments. You will also be responsible for leading infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless scalability, and enhancing system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Center Operations & Coordination:
Manage the day-to-day operations in our data centers.
Ensure seamless coordination of on-site tasks, including hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Maintain the smooth functioning of trading infrastructure to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
Infrastructure & Project Ownership:
Drive infrastructure-related projects end-to-end, from planning and resource allocation to implementation and post-deployment reviews.
Lead initiatives to scale, optimize, and upgrade infrastructure in line with business and trading growth.
Take ownership of timelines, budgets, and cross-functional coordination.
Hardware and Software Deployment:
Oversee the setup and initial installation of all hardware and software.
Ensure systems are operational and optimized for trading performance.
Configure servers, network devices, and storage systems to meet the demanding requirements of high-frequency trading.
Health Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor and report on the health of hardware deployed in our data centers.
Use monitoring tools, analyze performance metrics, and provide regular status updates to relevant stakeholders.
Identify and address potential issues before they impact trading operations.
Rack Management and Verification:
Verify rack configurations after any changes or maintenance activities.
Ensure proper cable management, airflow optimization, and correct labeling to maintain an organized and efficient data center environment.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of server inflow and outflow.
