Meta is seeking a Controls Engineer to become part of our Data Center Facilities Engineering team. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly growing infrastructure efficiently operates and our innovative services are delivered. The Facilities Engineering team delivers proactive and responsive full-life-cycle engineering expertise to the teams who operate and support our expanding global fleet of data centers.
Controls Engineers are involved in all aspects of data center operations, essential to ensuring effective sequenced system operations, monitoring feedback and analysis. They provide direct support to our field teams for new construction, site specific
projects and global level programmatic efforts.4 years professional experience in data center engineering, mission critical design, construction, operations, maintenance or related industry. 10 years of professional controls engineer work experience In lieu of specific work experience within the discipline, either a BS degree in Controls Engineering, (or related field) or an Associates degree in Engineering (or related Technical School certification) plus 6 years work experience within the discipline will be considered. Demonstrated experience to research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve system issues within discipline. Experience clearly communicating technical issues. Possess presentation, project management, and reporting skills. Experience with computer based mathematical analysis and data analysis. Experience driving complex projects under pressure. Demonstrated experience to work independently and as a member of a cross functional team Applied controls experience in programming development, start-up, and commissioning of electrical monitoring systems, central plants, air handling units, and evaporative cooling / humidification systems. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and life safety systems associated with critical environments. Demonstrated experience to understand and audit blueprints/CAD drawings and controls diagrams. Knowledge navigating Building Management System programs Professional experience in data center engineering, mission critical design, construction, operations, maintenance or related industry. Cross-discipline knowledge of multiple critical facility systems. Experience with software programming languages such as Python, PHP, SQL Organizational skills and experience beyond the field technician level in activities such as project management, project engineering, and operations management. IT/Networking Certification Professional Engineer (PE) registration or local equivalent
