As a Health Data Analyst/Business Analyst, you will work closely with data scientists and BI Programmer to review analytics and reporting for a high-profile quality initiative for healthcare. The program you will support provides accountability and public reporting of analytics data, outreach communications, website updates, and support functions.
Responsibilities Include
Facilitate collaboration with stakeholders
Analyze and document business requirements with functional specifications, prototypes, glossaries, and other QRP documentation for public reporting and compliance reporting for 5 quality reporting programs.
Support ownership of processes and documentation related to data exchanges between multiple databases of provider performance data that is made available.
Participate in weekly contract management calls
Generate compliance criteria checklists for the data analytics teams.
Review the federal register for any mandated rule/policy change to determine impacts to the program
Manage requirements traceability and change requests using the preferred organizational tools.
Develop business process models and supporting guidance documents.
Support ad hoc data analysis
Perform monitoring and evaluation activities
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Experience developing/writing technical and business requirements for government agencies
7+ years in the health data industry
Experience working with/handling PHI/PII data
Experience in the analysis and interpretation of data including an understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts, and a proficiency in exploratory data analysis and interpreting data
Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio
Sound critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Solid communication skills and attention to detail essential
