Kidde is looking for a data architect/snowflake developer with ETL experience to help coordinate the data and reporting roadmap and help drive its digital transformation. The person in this role will be critical to making Snowflake the company’s single source of truth where business data from multiple sources of record are stored, organized and integrated in order drive Kidde ’s automated self-service reporting in Power and enable advanced analytics across its many functions including but not limited to sales, marketing, product development operations, customer service, and finance. This person will champion our mission to be data-driven and will possess strong interpersonal skills, a broad understanding of Snowflake and ETL capabilities and the technical know how to leverage Snowflake for maximum business impact. Key Responsibilities: Architect, design, and operationalize large scale data and analytic solutions on Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse. Design, develop, and maintain ETL data pipelines in and out of data warehouse using combination of Python and Snowflake SnowSQL Writing SQL queries against Snowflake. Implement and advise on best practices for Snowflake data modeling and performance. Implement and advise on best practices for data engineering and reporting. Collaborate with reporting team, data analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and provide support for data operations. Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data engineering. Provide technical guidance on data management best practices for Governance, MDM, Quality, Lineage, Catalog, etc. Supervise contractors and third-party implementation partners as needed. Business Systems: (Salesforce, JDE ERP, etc) Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. 2+ years of Snowflake experience. 2+ years of relevant experience with data related technologies. 1+ years of experience with In-River PIM. 2+ years of experience with traditional ETL, data warehousing and data marts. 1+ years of entity relationship modeling, data architecture layers and design. 1+ years designing and creating reports in a modern data reporting dashboarding platform (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors’ degree with a concentration in computer science or related technical discipline. Cloud and/or Data related certifications are a plus. Strong written and verbal communication. Ability to organize information for reporting and analysis. Experience working with Agile software delivery frameworks. Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Experience in working with SaaS software solutions and cloud compute environment. Experience with cloud architectures focused on analytics, data management and usage patterns. Experience with at least one programming or scripting language. Additional Job Description: Summary: Experienced Data Science & Analytics professional.
