What You’ll be Doing

Reporting to the Director of Technology, the Data Architect will be responsible for understanding current business challenges and future business strategies, understanding what data is and will be required by the different stakeholders, getting the data from the different systems, modeling the data, and presenting the data to the relevant stakeholders while maintaining data governance and integrity.

This position offers a blend of technical leadership and strategic thinking, with opportunities to significantly impact our client’s business capabilities. You will be at the forefront of advancing the organization’s data capabilities, leading transformative initiatives and shaping a forward-thinking data strategy. Your mentorship will elevate team performance, while your influence on best practices and innovation in analytics will fuel long-term growth and support the organization’s evolving digital journey.

Regular Responsibilities Include:

• Designing and implementing comprehensive data architecture frameworks, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Developing data models, database designs, and data integration patterns across multiple systems.
• Creating and maintaining data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Leading the evaluation and selection of data management tools and technologies.
• Designing data migration strategies and overseeing their execution.
• Establishing best practices for data storage, access, and lifecycle management.
• Monitoring and optimizing system performance and data quality.
• Documenting and managing different business requirements and processes.
• Managing and communicating priorities of requests.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership skills with ability to mentor and work with technical teams.
• Strategic thinking and planning capabilities.
• Professional certifications in data management or cloud platforms.
• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming architectures.

Tech in Scope

• Azure SQL Database, Azure Databricks, OneLake Data Factory, Visio, Purview, PowerBI, Snowflake.
• The data sources will be from ERP systems (Infor SX.e, SAP B1 and potentially others).
• Salesforce, HR-related systems, AD, and others. Some of the sources will require the use of API, and for some, there will be direct access to the database.
