Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Architect in Topeka, KS.
Duties Include:
* Data Architect will design and guide implementation of a scalable, reliable, and cost-effective platform leveraging modern data platform architectures
* Implement the appropriate framework for managing and presenting data
* As a Data Architect, you will guide development team on adopting new platform elements and solve problems for team as they arise
* Lead establishment of tooling, methods, and procedures to master core data assets* Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field of study, or equivalent work experience
* Minimum 10 years of delivery experience in data engineering and data warehousing
* Deep expertise in data warehouses, lakes, operational data stores, data modeling, data architecture as well as data integration methodologies and patterns
* Strong dimensional modeling skills
* Deep expertise in data integration patterns and frameworks, including event-driven architecture/data mesh
* Hands-on delivery experience with Snowflake, Python, and Airflow required
* Hands-on delivery experience with cloud-based data platforms, GCP strongly preferred
* Hands-on delivery experience with dbt and GitHub preferred
* Strong attention to detail, curiosity, patient problem solver, excellent communication skills, critical thinking
* Platform Design: Should understand modern data platform architectures encompassing cloud-native solutions; The architect should be proficient in designing scalable, reliable, and cost-effective data platforms leveraging GCP services
* Data Modeling: Should be highly proficient in dimensional data modeling to design efficient data schemas
* Data Integration: Should have expertise in integrating data from disparate sources and be familiar with various ETL/ELT tools and techniques, dbt preferred
* Data Quality Management: Should have experience implementing data quality frameworks and processes to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data; This includes data profiling, cleansing, deduplication, and monitoring
* Data Governance: Should understand data governance principles and practices to ensure data is treated as an asset and governed effectively throughout its lifecycle
* Cloud Computing: Should understand cloud computing concepts and have professional experience with GCP cloud platforms
