Position - Data Architect
Location - Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)
Daily Rate - Dependent on experience (Client are seeking Junior, Mid and Senior Candidates)

We are seeking Data Architect with strong Azure experience to work for a large Utilities company based in East Flanders.
You will required to analyse the current systems and real-time requirements: Analyze the existing architecture (DB2, PostGIS, QGIS) and their interaction. Investigate the functional needs of the different departments of OVAM, the technical needs and the data needs (e.g. the real-time requirements). Identify current needs, limitations, and inefficiencies.
Required Skills -
-Demonstrable experience as a data architect in multiple projects with complex data architecture problems
-Demonstrable experience in translating conceptual information models into logical data models
-Demonstrable experience in setting up and developing data strategy and data architecture
-Demonstrable experience in working with data standards
-Demonstrable experience with Data Management
-Demonstrable experience with programming languages and scripting languages
-Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR level C2.
Responsibilities -
- Evaluation of the use of Azure Databricks for spatial queries: The contractor must actively evaluate whether Azure Databricks can be used for spatial queries. A complete list of advantages, disadvantages, technical limitations, and so on is given. In addition, a step-by-step plan is drawn up to expand this capability.
-Develop a robust solution: Develop a robust and scalable solution to the problems found in the GAP analysis. Prepare a complete technical proposal to implement this by technical profiles. This proposal contains at least a roadmap (with prioritization), proposal of technical profiles to implement this, estimate of time commitment, estimate of future costs, etc.
