Job Description: KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE: * Design and implement data architecture solutions using the Microsoft Fabric platform with a focus on architecting data models and developing comprehensive dashboards and reports for visualizing data * Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to translate business requirements into technical solutions. * Work closely with data engineers to develop logical and physical data models that ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and manipulation. * Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and ease of use. * Ensure data security and privacy by implementing appropriate measures and protocols. * Work with Data Governance team to develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data analysts and other team members. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data architecture and management. * Experience with Microsoft Purview or similar tools for building Data Catalogs and/or Data Protection * Building models off Lakehouses with Delta Lake * CI/CD pipelines and release management for data solutions * Ensuring data quality with automated tests REQUIREMENTS: * Advance skills in Microsoft applications including Excel, and Access * Understanding of relational database * BI reporting tools such as Power BI, Crystal Reports, or SSRS * Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets * High level of mathematical ability * Accuracy and attention to detail * Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy * Written and verbal communication skills * Excellent attention to detail * Experience with tools such as Tabular Editor and DAXStudio * Hybrid role - Located in Schaumburg, IL HQ Office. Must be able to be on-site twice weekly and additional days as needed due to projects and meetings. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Minimum * Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). * Minimum: 10 years of experience in data architecture and data management. * Must be familiar with Microsoft Fabric and have hands-on experience implementing data solutions in such an environment. * 2+ years of experience leading data architecture for mid-sized to enterprise sized organizations. Preferred * Current industry certifications from Microsoft or equivalent certifications * Master's degree in a related field. * Industry certifications in data architecture or related areas. * Experience in a larger IT environment with over 3000 users and multiple domains. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
