Snowflake Architect

Location: San Francisco - 3 days on-site - Only considering local candidates

Contract: Initial 6 months

Rate: $80 - $100 per hour

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Snowflake Architect for one of our clients. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth expertise in the Snowflake environment, focusing on performance optimization, scalability challenges, and role-based access control (RBAC) strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize SQL queries and data models to enhance performance.
• Scalability Solutions: Identify and implement strategies to address scalability issues within the Snowflake platform.
• RBAC Implementation: Design and manage role hierarchies and permissions to ensure secure and efficient data access.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to performance and data access in the Snowflake environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure best practices in data management and utilization.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of the Snowflake platform and its functionalities.
• Proven experience in query optimization and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of RBAC and role hierarchies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with cloud data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with data modeling and ETL processes.
• Knowledge of SQL and data analytics tools.
