Data Architect
The Data Architect will have the key responsibility to ensure that new Data Engineering activities are modelling and in-general designing the best and most optimal way to process D&B data. He or she will engage with various teams to understand their data needs and design appropriate solutions that meet their needs. Will be hands-on modelling/designing/leading complex Data Engineering initiatives as well as guiding other team members.
As part of the GTS & Prime team, you’ll:
- You will be responsible for Data Analysis, Data modelling and designing data architectures and schemas
- Collaborate with various BU/IT teams to understand the data flow between the various systems and data transformations and data mappings
- Be a trusted advisor and internal SME on our data, collaborate with engineering teams and understanding of our data architecture solutions
- Stakeholder communication and collaborations are key with sharp communication skills essential
- Be the Data Architect SME advising on modelling, architectural, design, and operations related data issues
- Review the requirements and the impacts and engineering deliverables for them
About you:
- Deep knowledge of SQL, data formats such as XML and JSON and columnar database types
Knowledge of Big Data Platforms is essential
- Experience on Big Data Technologies such as ETL, knowledge of data processing and lifecycle from cleansing, formatting, verification and enrichment and packaging
- Minimum 4+ years of Data Modelling experience for large/complex data systems
- Must have at least 15+ years of extensive experience in areas directly relating to Data Engineering and Big Data platforms, focused on Data Analysis
- Minimum 6+ years of experience with Data Engineering concepts such as Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Streaming, ETL/ELT, etc
- Must have 4+ years of hands-on experience designing solutions for processing data in Cloud environments
- Experience on Cloud Technologies from providers such as GCP or AWS
- Have worked in a data platform team with agile methodologies
- Should have hands on experience of many different Data Engineering environments e.g. Oracle, Informatica, Redshift, BigQuery, etc. and ideally at scale
