POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data and Business Analyst Intern works closely with all functional departments to support business analytics and performance improvement initiatives for the division. This position is responsible for capturing, analyzing and interpreting business performance data to identify opportunities for process enhancements and support strategic decision-making. The intern is also expected to provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders based on findings.
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
* Capture and analyze performance data from various business segments.
* Identify anomalies, trends, and areas for improvement from the data.
* Review and update Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each business segment.
* Conduct research and prepare reports (as applicable) that support recommendations.
* Identify and recommend practical business solutions to key stakeholders.
* Support continuous improvement efforts by helping to lead or assisting in business process improvements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of data and identified initiatives.
* Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Enrolled in a degree program with an emphasis in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
* Exceptional verbal, written or interpersonal communication skills.
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
* Experience with Tableau of other data analysis/statistical tools a plus.
* Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, work in teams, and be flexible within a fast-paced and changing environment.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $17.00/hr and $21.16/hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions based on achieving individual performance and/or sales metrics, incentive compensation and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an at-will position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
