Job Purpose
The Data Analytics Manager is in-charge of
Creating the Data and Analytics (D&A) roadmap for select value streams and/or programs
Joining up, transforming, and analyzing data to answer business questions, validate hypotheses, and refine data requirements
Prioritizing D&A requirements to deliver incremental business value while aligning to the data maturity of the function, value stream, or program
Providing Data requirements to the IT and Data Platform Teams, so that data needed for analytics is captured and stored correctly in the right granularity and frequency
Providing Analytics requirements to the Business Intelligence and Reporting Teams, especially on how business performance metrics and KPIs are defined, computed, and monitored
Providing Analytics requirements to the Advanced Analytics and Gen AI Teams, so that model results align to the planned business action and experience designs
Leading a team/squad of D&A talents, whether from IT or Business, so that Data and Analytics solutions are deployed on a timely and sustainable manner
Translating the results of D&A solutions into actionable recommendations
Embedding D&A recommendations into business processes and campaign designs
Quantifying the potential impact and realized benefits of analytics solutions
Testing D&A solutions and conducting peer review
Collaborating with Business Leads and Value Stream Owners from Marketing, CX, Sales and Distribution, Operations, Products and Actuarial Teams to identify Data and Analytics opportunities, whether Descriptive, Exploratory, Explanatory, or Advanced
Partnering with the Regional Center of Excellence and Global Data Analytics Teams in replicating best practices and contextualizing use cases to the Philippine market
The role reports to Data and Analytics Head.
Specialized Knowledge
Strong knowledge and understanding of statistical and advanced analytics methodologies
Experienced as a Data Analytics Product Owner leading a team of Data Modelers, Business Intelligence Engineers, and Data Scientists
Experienced with data mining and analytics tools, such as AWS Glue, Athena, and SageMaker
Experienced in data storytelling and data visualization, with a good understanding of design principles
Experienced in A/B testing and designing experiments
Strong knowledge on the governance of models and Advanced Analytics processes
Good understanding of the ethical principles in analytics and model development
Familiar with the Agile set-up and experienced using collaboration tools, such as Confluence and JIRA
Strong knowledge of the phases of model development including model design, feature engineering and transformation, model selection, and performance monitoring
Familiar with model validation processes and documentation, which may include bias and privacy impact assessments
Strong domain knowledge in providing actionable recommendations and insights to different business units within the Life Insurance, Health, Investments, and Trust Industry
Education and Experience
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering or any STEM field.
5 to 10 years experience in the field of Data Science and Analytics
Experienced in delivering analytical solutions and performing model maintenance
Experienced in querying and pulling data from SQL, SAS, and/or AWS Data Stores
Experienced working with projects involving large amount of data to conduct exploratory, descriptive, and predictive analytics
Experienced in documenting business metrics and requirements, data lineages and flows, user guides
Experienced leading multi-cultural and cross-functional data teams in an Agile set-up
Ability to communicate effectively and work with stakeholders and end-users at all levels
Can work independently or as part of team
Must be willing to work with and learn new technologies
Must be action-oriented with excellent follow through
