Role Summary

The Data Analytics Analyst is responsible for uncovering valuable insights from data to help the company drive business decisions. He/she will work closely with the different business units to gain deep understanding of their customers and provide relevant analyses to help boost their efforts.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Proactively partner with various business units to support their overall objectives and enable them to come up with the best decisions by leveraging on data
• Design and deliver meaningful dashboards and reports to track the results of key initiatives and strengthen decision-making through data analytics and visualization tools (i.e., Power BI)
• Understand and analyze data to reveal patterns or trends and look for opportunities to add value, support product expansions, and optimize processes
• Formulate and monitor key metrics to gauge the performance of the different business units and identify areas for development
• Work closely with management and provide sound recommendations and actionable insights to help move the business forward
• Collaborate with other teams to harness their data and come up with relevant analyses to ensure operational efficiency through automation and streamlining of processes, boost customer service, and transform their business capabilities
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

Competencies required:

• Strong analytical abilities and solid mathematical skills – confident in crunching numbers and processing different types of data
• Highly skilled in data analytics tools, such as SQL and Power BI; experience in other programming languages a plus!
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills – able to collaborate with different business units and build/maintain good relations
• Critical thinker and solutions-oriented – enjoys solving problems rather than dwelling on them, able to generate extract meaningful insights from data
• Strong attention to details – does not sacrifice accuracy and maintains high standard of work
• Independent and can work with minimal supervision – able to exercise own judgment when needed
• Eager to learn and flexible to work with different types of data, whether business or risk
  
  

Education And Experience Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Statistics, Finance, or any related studies; Data Science background an advantage
• At least 2 years of experience in analytics, data science or business intelligence role
• Proficient in Excel VBA, SQL, and Power BI
• Knowledge of economics and financial markets; MBA/CFA/FRM a plus
