About the Position
We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Analyst with expertise in Azure Platform to join our growing Data Analytics team. This role requires hands-on experience with SQL Databases, Big Data Analytics tools like Azure Synapse, and proficiency in Data Modeling and Visualization using Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes in areas such as Supply Chain, Inventory, Purchasing, and Procurement, and possess advanced skills in SQL and PySpark.
As a Data Analyst at our organization, you will leverage your technical expertise and domain knowledge to analyze complex datasets, create actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making across the business.
In this role, you will:
* Design and maintain data models and data pipelines in the Azure environment to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
* Leverage SQL to query large datasets, perform data analysis, and generate custom reports for business needs.
* Develop, publish, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
* Develop and optimize SQL queries for efficient data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting.
* Utilize PySpark to process large datasets and perform data transformations for analytics.
* Build interactive and user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports for various stakeholders.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven insights, especially in Supply Chain, Inventory, Purchasing, and Procurement domains.
* Provide ongoing support for data management, troubleshooting data issues, and optimizing database performance.
* Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
* Ensure data quality and consistency across multiple systems and reporting platforms.
* Stay updated with the latest tools and technologies in Azure platform and big data analytics.
* Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
* 3 - 5 years of experience working as a Data Analyst or similar role.
* Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse for Big Data Analytics.
* Proficiency in SQL for data querying, analysis, and data manipulation.
* Experience with writing complex SQL queries.
* Experience in analyzing, diagnosing, and optimizing SQL queries to improve performance, ensuring high availability and scalability of database systems.
* Strong experience in Power BI for data visualization and report building.
* Expertise in PySpark for big data processing and analysis.
* Create and maintain database triggers, views, and functions to ensure the integrity and automation of data processes.
* Strong understanding of data modeling, including relational, dimensional, and OLAP models.
* In-depth knowledge of business processes within Supply Chain, Inventory, Purchasing, and Procurement.
* Ability to work with both structured and unstructured data, and proficiency in data warehousing concepts.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with large-scale data environments.
* Ability to communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
* Experience with Machine Learning algorithms and analytics is a plus.
* Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies, desired.
* Certification in Azure Data or related technologies is preferred.
* Experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and other Azure data services, desired.

Primary Location
The Data Analyst will be based on-site in Southfield, Michigan.
