About Our Team

We have an outstanding opportunity for a data analyst to join our team focused on APAC petrochemical market, particularly olefins and polyolefins market. This role will be central to existing services and the development of an exciting new suite of products. It provides an excellent opportunity to help deliver our company’s strategy and vision. This is senior level role for an experienced person with the skills to further develop expertise in dynamic and evolving sector.

About The Role

There will be a strong research element to the role, with data gathering and relationship building within the industry expected. A high level of internal collaboration will be required with colleagues around the world and across different functions.

Fine data, programming, analytical and communication skills will be required. Attention to detail, creativity and initiative will be highly valued.

This role would suit an individual with experience in this or related commodities. The role will provide exposure to this company’s global team of industry experts and quantitative analysts.

Responsibilities

• Generate industry data and analysis
• Develop deep understanding of market drivers and contribute to the production of written analysis explaining and forecasting market developments
• Fundamental data research relevant to the petrochemical
• Effective maintenance and regular updating of key data sets
• Publish key findings, forecasts and analysis on the defined schedule
• Engage with clients, support business at customer meetings and conferences

Requirements

• An expert who can demonstrate their interest in the petrochemical market
• Proven quantitative and qualitative research skills
• Attention to detail and high level of proficiency with Microsoft
• Excellent communication skills and an aptitude for building contacts and networks
• Experience with forecast modelling software and methodologies would be an advantage
• Fluent in Mandarin and English
