Santcore Technologies is seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Data Analyst/Designer to work with large data sets, transforming them into intuitive visualizations for stakeholders. The role requires technical expertise in SQL and database management systems. This is a unique opportunity for individuals with experience in data analysis and data science to join a dynamic team focused on delivering clear insights through advanced data manipulation, storage, and analysis strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior management, technical teams, and clients to determine data requirements and best practices for data manipulation, storage, and analysis.
• Write and code both logical and physical database descriptions, managing identifiers for databases and systems.
• Modify existing databases and management systems, or lead a team of programmers and analysts in making changes.
• Test programs or databases, identify errors, and implement necessary fixes.
• Develop and present clear, compelling data visualizations (graphs, charts) to communicate complex data insights effectively.
• Work closely with other data analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and create effective data visualizations for decision-making.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field required.
• Master’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 4+ years of applicable experience in data analysis or related roles, with experience working on large data sets.

Skills:

• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies.
• Experience in designing data structures and scemas.
• Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively in both written and oral formats.
• A sharp analytical mind with exceptional attention to detail and a desire to help businesses make data-driven decisions.

Additional Preferences:

• Preference for candidates with degrees from reputable institutions such as the University of Maryland or Johns Hopkins University.
• Local candidates from the DC/MD/VA area are strongly preferred.

Important Notes:

• This is NOT a typical Data Analyst position. Candidates should possess strong SQL skills and experience with large-scale data management.
• The role could be more aligned with a Data Scientist due to the nature of the work, focusing heavily on SQL for database management and data analysis.
• Candidates will undergo a technical live-code assessment based on SQL during the interview.
