We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our team for a remote, 6-month full-time contractual position. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, data visualization, and working with large datasets. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to help guide key business decisions. You will work closely with various teams to identify trends, patterns, and insights that will drive data-driven decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Collect and clean large sets of data from various sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Data Analysis: Perform detailed data analysis, including exploratory data analysis (EDA), trend identification, and data validation.
- Data Visualization: Develop and maintain data visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or other visualization tools to effectively communicate insights.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Build and maintain reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to stakeholders and business leaders.
- Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with business units to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable analytics.
- Statistical Analysis: Conduct statistical analysis to provide insights into key business metrics and improve operational efficiencies.
- Advanced Analytics: Use predictive analytics, machine learning, or statistical modeling techniques (if applicable) to support business forecasting and decision-making.
- Documentation & Reporting: Document analysis methodologies, findings, and results in clear, understandable formats for technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst with a solid background in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
- Data Tools Expertise: Proficiency in SQL for data querying and working with databases. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Data Handling: Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and data integration from multiple sources.
- Statistical Analysis: Strong understanding of statistical methods and data analysis techniques, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and forecasting.
- Excel Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and macros).
- Programming Languages: Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis and data manipulation is a plus.
- Data Warehousing: Experience working with data warehouses and ETL processes.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations and how to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data in a simple and actionable way.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking with a passion for solving business problems using data.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in data analytics or business intelligence tools are a plus but not mandatory.
