Summary

Job Title: Data Analyst - Electric Operations Asset Management Metrics Development
Contract Duration: 6+ Months
Pay range: $70 - 75/hr
Location: Oakland, CA
Work Type: Hybrid, Local candidates only 

Job Summary:
  • Our client is seeking a Data Analyst to support data analysis and metric development within our Asset Performance Management (APM) system.
  • The analyst will evaluate available data, identify trends, and define key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance asset health monitoring and work management.
  • This role will work closely with APM, SAM, and Substation Operations to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze data from APM to identify patterns and opportunities for new metrics and KPIs.
  • The Data Analyst collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure relevant asset health and work management metrics are defined.
  • Perform data validation and quality assurance to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
  • Provide insights on data trends that impact asset reliability, maintenance strategies, and operational efficiency.
  • Support the development of Power BI reports by providing well-structured data analysis, but will not directly develop dashboards.
  • Work with data engineers to ensure data pipelines and integration processes align with reporting needs.

Job Qualifications:
  • Experience in data analysis, asset management, or maintenance analytics.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with APM systems (such as Bentley, Client, or Siemens APM) is a plus.
  • Strong ability to interpret complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
  • Good communication skills to present findings to business and technical stakeholders.
