A Data Analyst at TempWorks is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to provide meaningful insights that drive business decisions for both our clients and us. The Data Analyst plays a crucial role in developing cutting-edge data-driven solutions to drive innovation and optimize business decisions for both TempWorks, and our clients. The Data Analyst collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, marketing, and finance to optimize our business operations and improve customer experiences.

General Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Design and build embedded analytics and reporting features, including dashboards, reports, and visualizations, for our SaaS customers and our internal business units, helping them gain actionable insights from their data.
• Identify and suggest optimizations to improve business performance based on analyzing company data.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata
• Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker (Power BI preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Comprehension of data modeling, data cleansing, and data enrichment techniques
• Ability to design and implement systems necessary to collect, maintain, and analyze data.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role in a tech company
• 3+ years of SQL experience (No-SQL experience is a plus).
• Experience building customer-facing analytics solutions within a SaaS platform is highly preferred.
• Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for data analytics. Azure preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift to 10 pounds at times.
