Summary

TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Data Analyst I to join our team in Houston, Texas. Summary: The Data Analyst I is responsible for collecting data from different sources and analyzing results with the objective to identify trends, detect problem areas and help make better decisions for supported tolling systems. Candidate will develop reports for performance indicators that will provide operations with overall system health, early detection of problem areas and will support monitoring needs. Candidate will also collaborate with other team members in the development of new procedures geared to improve quality and performance of systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Working alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs. Write report stored procedures, design/modify/support database tables, create and modify reports using Power BI. Collecting, interpreting data, and analyzing Reporting the results back to the relevant members of the business Defining new data collection and analysis processes Acquire data from primary or secondary data Create detailed reports or PowerPoint presentations to Management to show any anomalies or impacts to revenue. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using statistical Locate and define new process improvement Discover new and ongoing issues; take steps to remediate promptly to limit revenue loss and provide ongoing reports. Filter and "clean" data by reviewing reports, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems. Work with team members to provide precise information on faulty Develop root cause analysis and reports as Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or related field Required Skills & Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst or similar A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in SQL Server and T-SQL Experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst Ability to analyze large data set Experience in writing complex T-SQL commands and scripts. Ability to write comprehensive reports, adept at queries and presenting Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent knowledge in presenting data with different BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving Attention to detail. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
