Title: Data Analyst - GIS
Location: NY, NY
Terms: Contract
Compensation: $38-$41/hour
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US
Analyst will be responsible for collecting, processing, and interface with GIS team to understand business needs.
This function will report to the GIS Head of Strategic Projects & Architecture and will work with GIS team and stakeholders to provide data analysis, reporting and development to support various initiatives within the GIS organization. Analyst will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work within the team and across various projects. The scope will be global, supporting Americas, EMEA and APAC.
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Work on design, development and implementation of Business Systems.
• Analyzing and processing large data sets along with data evaluation
• Generate business knowledge reports
• Define MIS requirements and needs
• Evaluate and improve information processes as needed.
• Perform routine data checks
• MIS analyst reporting to Head of Strategic Projects & Architecture
• Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and be able to communicate status.
• Work with tools like PowerBI and SQL
• Collect and analyze data to identify methods that improve decision making
• Assist with appropriate documentation supporting projects
• Coordinate with GIS development, business team and business stakeholders to help implement GIS projects and systems
• Provide reporting to Technology PMO for tracking projects status and progress

Qualifications:
• Strong education and experience working with Financial Services & Banking organizations
• Knowledge of tools for data analysis and reporting, i.e. SQL, PowerBI, web development & .NET
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels and influence across various organizations
• Candidate must be able to continually assess and communicate appropriate status to senior management for proper decision making.
