The Waldinger Corporation is seeking a highly analytical and curious Data Analyst to join our growing Data Platforms team. Reporting to the Manager of Data Platforms, this role will help transform our data capabilities from traditional reporting toward forward-looking insights. You will work closely with business stakeholders, analytics engineers, and other IT team members to dive deep into operational data, uncover drivers of performance, and develop data products that inform strategic decisions and drive measurable value.
Responsibilities
* Deep-Dive Analysis: Explore complex datasets using SQL and Python to identify trends, anomalies, and drivers of business performance.
* Business Insight Generation: Collaborate with business users to understand key questions, then deliver actionable insights through visualizations, narrative storytelling, and statistical analysis.
* Forecasting & Predictive Modeling: Build and maintain forecasting models and apply machine learning techniques where appropriate to guide business decisions.
* Data Exploration: Proactively look for patterns and opportunities in the data that aren't being asked about yet, helping the business discover untapped value.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across operations, finance, construction, and services to understand their goals and align analytics efforts accordingly.
* Tool Development: Contribute to the creation of analytical tools, dashboards, and notebooks that make insights more accessible to stakeholders.
* Elevate Data Maturity: Help evolve our data organization beyond "what happened" to "why it happened" and "what should we do next."
* Documentation & Communication: Clearly document methodologies, assumptions, and findings. Present results to technical and non-technical audiences.

* This position is part of the Information Technology organization.
* The Data Analyst reports to the Manager of Data Platforms.

* Strong proficiency in SQL and Python/R for data analysis.
* Experience working with large datasets and relational databases.
* Demonstrated ability to conduct independent analysis and clearly communicate findings.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor insights to different audiences.
