Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytics Engineer with advanced expertise in data modeling and analytics. The ideal candidate will have experience working with medium to complex data structures in a corporate environment. They should be proficient in working with data in Snowflake, transforming data with DBT, and visualizing it efficiently in PowerBI, including implementing complex logic in DAX. Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent communication skills to interface with customers, negotiate deliverables, and gather requirements with strong logical thinking. A willingness to share their expertise with other team members is also essential.
Job Responsibilities:

Required Technical Skills:
• Advanced Data Modeling: Extensive experience in designing and implementing complex data models, with a strong understanding of normalization, denormalization and schema designs such as star schema and snowflake schema.
• Ingestion Processes: Proficiency in developing and optimizing EL (Extract and Load) processes using ADF (Azure Data Factory).
• Data Wrangling Processes: Proficiency in developing and optimizing DBT (Data Build Tool) models, including data testing, unit testing and macros.
• Data Warehousing: In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices, particularly with Snowflake, including optimization strategies, query tuning, clustering, and others.
• Visualization Expertise: Advanced skills in creating interactive and insightful dashboards and reports using Power BI with DAX, including designing and maintaining semantic models.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automations.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with Azure, particularly in relation to data storage, access management, integration, and processing.
• Data Governance: Understanding of data governance/data management principles, including data quality, security, cataloguing, and documentation.
Desired Technical Skills:
• AI and Machine Learning: Experience with AI and machine learning models, including the ability to work with related data sets.
• Project Management: Experience in managing data projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification, DP-900: Azure Data Fundamentals, DP-203: Azure Data Engineer Associate, or similar.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentorship: Proven track record of mentoring and developing junior team members.
